Job summary

COOLSOFT in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Hardware CMDB Documentation & Processes Analyst to manage asset inventory, reconciliation, and CMDB accuracy. This contract role focuses on field verification, hardware lifecycle processes, and precise CMDB entries across Milwaukee County facilities. Start date 11/16/2026; end date 06/30/2027.

Onsite work required with residence in Wisconsin; no relocation offered. Interview via Teams; compensation DOE.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT asset management and CMDB tools preferred.
• Ability to perform physical hardware verification and data reconciliation.
• Strong documentation and process-improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Discovery, Validation & Reconciliation: locate, inspect and validate IT hardware; reconcile CMDB records.
• Field Based Hardware Tracking & Placement: maintain real-time asset location and movement records across facilities.
• Device Lifecycle & Hands On Processing: support receiving, tagging, imaging, deployment prep, and retirement of hardware.
