Job summary

You will greet guests, answer questions, assist with merchandise and shipments, maintain clean aisles and register area, participate in daily huddles, and promote the Ridley's Advantage card while working flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge of hardware products and willingness to learn.
• Sales and marketing experience with retail programs and guest relations.
• Experience in retail environment in marketing, sales, back office, or contractor/construction fields preferred.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
• Commitment to service excellence and guest satisfaction; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding service.
• Greet guests, answer calls, maintain awareness of promotions and advertisements.
• Execute the daily operational goals and priorities set by store management.
• Assist in training and development of peers.
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards; keep register area orderly.
• Process new shipments and help keep receiving/back stock organized.
• Respond to safety issues and monitor shoplifting activity.
• Assist guests locating merchandise and processing special orders.
• Promote Ridley's Advantage card and explain benefits.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
