Landscaping by J. Michael in Massachusetts is seeking an Experienced Foreman to lead on-site crews, ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of masonry/landscape construction experience.
• Massachusetts driver's license required.
• Hydraulic license is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• CDL B is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage your crew, ensuring each day starts with clear tasks and safety briefings.
• Lay out projects and guide the team through installations.
• Build walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers and segmented walls.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws and related tools.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles; keep it clean, safe, and in good working order.

With over 40 years as a trusted leader in Massachusetts, we provide high-quality landscaping services to both commercial and residential clients across the South Shore. Our long-standing reputation comes from the care, craftsmanship, and expertise we bring to every project.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Foreman, you’ll play a key role in bringing our projects to life. You’ll lead a crew on-site and help ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

• Lead and manage your crew, making sure everyone is set up for success each day
• Lay out projects and guide the team through installations
• Work on a variety of builds including walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other tools
• Help maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping everything clean, safe, and in good working order

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in masonry and landscape construction
• A valid Massachusetts driver’s license
• Hydraulic license is a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
• CDL B is preferred
• A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example
