Job summary

Landscaping by J. Michael in Massachusetts is seeking an Experienced Foreman to lead crews on a variety of hardscape and landscape projects. You’ll oversee daily on-site activities, ensure safety, quality, and timely completion, and mentor crew members.

We value over five years of masonry/landscape experience, valid MA driver’s license, and a proactive leader able to work hands-on. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, boot reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in masonry and landscape construction.
• A valid Massachusetts driver's license.
• Hydraulic license is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• CDL B is preferred.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage your crew, making sure everyone is set up for success each day
• Lay out projects and guide the team through installations
• Work on a variety of builds including walkways, patios, natural stone walls, bluestone, pavers, and segmented walls
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other tools
• Help maintain equipment and vehicles, keeping everything clean, safe, and in good working order

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Foreman, you’ll play a key role in bringing our projects to life. You’ll lead a crew on-site and help ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
