Job summary

New Life Rockeries & Retaining Walls in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a working field leader to turn project plans into organized, productive days for a hardscape crew. You will manage residential and commercial outdoor work including walls, pavers, drainage, and base prep while ensuring quality and safety.

You will plan work, delegate tasks, coach crew members, inspect work, and hold the team accountable, rather than performing solo installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on hardscape or landscape construction experience.
• Experience leading a crew or foreman role, with accountability.
• Ability to read plans and explain elevations, foundations, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Translate project plans into daily/weekly production targets and crew assignments.
• Lead start-of-day huddles, monitor safety, quality, and progress against goals.
• Oversee layout, excavation, base prep, drainage, retaining walls, and paver work; prevent rework.
• Train laborers, enforce PPE and safe-work practices, document issues and progress.
• Communicate risks, shortages, and schedule changes to leadership promptly.
