The Hardening and Palletizing Clerk is responsible for supporting production operations within the Hardening and Palletizing (H/P) area. This role follows supervisor direction regarding work assignments, break schedules, and rotation of duties, and requires flexibility to cross‑train across multiple positions within the H/P section. The clerk ensures products are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform jobs once trained such as, corner, sorter, robots, wrap machine or forklift.
- Handle all products according to food safety and temperature control.
- Work with equipment in a safe manner, along with communication when equipment needs attention.
- Operate and monitor hardening or curing equipment according to established procedures and production specifications.
- Safely stack, wrap, and palletize finished products in designated configurations.
- Inspect pallets for stability, labeling accuracy, and completeness prior to movement.
- Move pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate production and palletizing records in manufacturing or inventory systems.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety hazards to supervision.
- Follow all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or palletizing operations preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.Ability to read and follow work instructions, HP procedures, and safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift.
- Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and fingers.
- Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to convey detailed spoken instructions to other coworkers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Visual acuity both near and far: Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, as well as clarity of vision at 20 feet or more- this is not just the ability to see a person or object, but the ability to recognize features as well.
- Hearing: The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).
- Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to continuously lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Operation of material handling equipment.
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment, exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
