Job summary

The Port of Seattle seeks Harbor Operations Specialist to support waterside and upland facilities, delivering front-line operations for commercial fishing, vessel facilities, and public services. You will patrol, respond to alarms, manage incidents, and ensure safety, with opportunities to work a hybrid schedule.

The role emphasizes equity and safety, requiring a valid WA driver’s license, weekend/holiday coverage, and ability to operate a skiff during emergencies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in facilities, maintenance or security operations.
• Maritime environment experience is desirable.
• Willingness to work in varied outdoor conditions and shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide standard operating information to customers and the public.
• Address customer concerns, answer questions, and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Provide property security through patrolling and ensuring areas are locked and secure.
• Collaborate with Harbor Operations Specialists, security contractors, portfolio manager, and maintenance staff; share daily updates.
