Job summary

Pacific River seeks Washington-certified security personnel for vessel protection duties in Seattle. You will perform access control at berthing locations, remain on your feet for long periods, andwork in all weather conditions. The role requires a current WA unarmed security license and the ability to pass a passport/birth document check.

Expect long 12-hour shifts, potential overtime, and collaboration with fellow officers to maintain security around maritime facilities.

Qualifications

• Active WA unarmed security license (or armed if applicable) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a WA DOL Licensed Security Officer.
• Ability to operate security reporting apps such as Tracktik.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control at berthing vessels and protect US military assets.
• Walk, stand or sit for long periods; endure outdoor conditions.

We have an immediate need for professional minded Washington Certified Unarmed Security Officers for Long-term ongoing Vessel protection assignments. The duties are performed in Seattle while the vessel is at berth. Hours of operation are 24 hours per day / 7 days per week. Please consider when applying; that this is a very active position. You will be required to be on your feet for long periods of time and conduct foot patrols at random.

For immediate Employment, the Successful Candidate MUST HAVE an ACTIVE/CURRENT Washington Armed or Unarmed Security License. You must have a Non-Expired US Passport/Enhanced ID or US Birth Certificate in order to be considered for this position.

Requirements

• A valid/current WA unarmed
• A valid US Passport or US birth Certificate
• Able to work 12 hour shifts
• Able to work days or nights
• Availability for overtime shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing Access Control Points to several US military assets while at berth.
• Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Though there are guard shacks at various stations, this position may require you to be in the elements for long periods at times.
• Must be able to communicate well via phone, radio and written reports.
• Monitor Access control computer screens for people coming and going from vessels and gates.
• Must communicate and work well with others as you will be working along with several other security officers and others that are in close proximity to you through out the day.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year experience as an WA DOL Licensed Security Officer.
• Ability to utilize various Security Officer Reporting App's such as Tracktik.
• We see 50-100 persons a day from all walks of life so you must be personable, and able to work well with others.
• Attention to detail is a must.
