Qualifications

We are looking for a talented Harbor Master to join our team!

You will be responsible for overseeing all marina operations and ensuring that all goals, objectives and sales targets are met through planning, directing and managing the marina staff. In addition, you will oversee capital projects and make recommendations for the upgrading of facilities to ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements. This role will lead the maintenance team and maintenance activities at two marina properties in the area. Providing excellence in customer service through all interactions and maintaining a productive working relationship with owners, board members or municipalities.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, hotel management/engineering or equivalent and up to eight years of experience in boating/yachting and/or the hospitality sector. Sound knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, handling, towing, plant and equipment maintenance. Experience in large scale capital projects is a plus. Ability to prepare business plans, understand budgets and monitor outcomes is desired. Proven skills in VHF communication, first-aid and fire-fighting procedures.
• Computer and software literacy - including MS Office Suite of products, Quickbooks and marina management software
