Job summary

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for overseeing all marina operations and ensuring that all goals, objectives and sales targets are met through planning, directing and managing the marina staff.
• In addition, you will oversee capital projects and make recommendations for the upgrading of facilities to ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements.
• This role will lead the maintenance team and maintenance activities at two marina properties in the area.
• Providing excellence in customer service through all interactions and maintaining a productive working relationship with owners, board members or municipalities.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, hotel management/engineering or equivalent and up to eight years of experience in boating/yachting and/or the hospitality sector.
• Sound knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, handling, towing, plant and equipment maintenance.
• Experience in large scale capital projects is a plus.
• Ability to prepare business plans, understand budgets and monitor outcomes is desired.
• Proven skills in VHF communication, first-aid and fire-fighting procedures.

Computer and software literacy - including MS Office Suite of products, Quickbooks and marina management software
