Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers.

Summary:

The Hanscom Site Lead / Cyber Security & Control Systems (CSCS) Storage & Virtual (S&V) Program Support Architect is an on-site position located at Hanscom AFB, MA. The CSCS S&V Program supports the Server Consolidation Environment (SCE) and Air Force Provisional Enterprise Data Center (AFPEDC) programs. This role includes testing, implementation, and sustainment of solutions, ensuring system performance, and applying industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures. The position will work closely with appropriate teams and act as a liaison for AFLCMC/HNI.

The primary role is to support the AFPEDC system located in the Hanscom Integration and Test Facility (ITF). The equipment in ITF is similar to the production environment and is primarily used for development and verification of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and other changes necessary to incorporate into AFPEDC production. The CSCS S&V architect will provide on-site and remote engineering and integration services, including system architecture, solution design, performance audits, system reviews, documentation, and data migration. Additional duties include site audits, technical account management, managing third parties, providing technical assistance and mentoring as directed by the PMO, and providing cybersecurity recommendations supporting ATO within the RMF system.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide integration of new applications, including coordinating design reviews, providing lists of materials for expansion requirements, and coordinating activities with application teams or contractors.
  • Document as-built drawing changes to the system.
  • Perform system expansion or contraction planning activities.
  • Support the PMO in onboarding new applications and migrating existing SCE/AFPEDC applications to other platforms as required.
  • Provide VMware, Cisco UCS, SAN, and Commvault engineering design and architecture support.
  • Conduct IA assessments and remediation.
  • Monitor system performance regularly.
  • Resolve deployment problems in the production environment.
  • Review contractor submittals of system design, architecture reports, and technical orders.
  • Evaluate existing architecture and site-specific services to determine change requirements.
  • Support the PMO in creating and incorporating architecture and design best practices.
  • Generate and test TCTOs for changes at all SCE/AFPEDC sites.
  • Travel estimated at two trips per year within the Continental US, with possible additional travel.
  • Provide troubleshooting, configuration, and management support as needed.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Supervise, lead, and direct work of Field Operations SME(s) at Hanscom AFB.
  • Provide status updates and reports on performance and concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by program management and the Sr. Field Operations Manager.
Risk & Compliance Management
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force, and industry security standards.
  • Maintain operational readiness per procedures and policies.
  • Assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical expertise in network and systems infrastructure.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and technical personnel.
  • Familiarity with U.S. DoD & U.S. Air Force procedures and the Air Force Information Network (AFIN).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Enterprise storage experience with SAN and NAS technologies.
  • Supporting DoD Information Network, AFIN, or equivalent.
  • IA Technician (IAT) Level II Certification.
  • Current SECRET security clearance or higher.
  • Two or more of the following specialized skills:
    • Dell/EMC SAN and Backup, VMware virtualization
    • Commvault Simpana and EMC Data Domain software
    • Brocade Fabric switching
    • NCIE NetApp SAN Engineer certification or equivalent
    • Microsoft Server experience (8+ years)
    • CyberArk Defender Certification
    • Cisco CCDA and experience in Routers, Switches, Network Fabric
    • Cisco UCS in virtual environments
    • Cisco CCT Data Center
    • Network+ certification
