Job summary

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL) seeks a Hanford Analytical Operations Manager to lead the analytical laboratory portfolio supporting the Hanford Site’s environmental management and waste cleanup mission.

You will direct inorganic, organic, radiochemical, materials science, and related lab activities to ensure defensible, accurate, and timely results in compliance with QA, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, radiochemistry, chemical engineering, nuclear chemistry, materials science or a related field.
• Master’s degree or doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily and long-range analytical operations supporting radioactive tank waste characterization and environmental sampling.
• Oversee inorganic, organic, radiochemical, and materials science analytical activities.
• Ensure analytical methods and results meet QA and customer requirements.
• Coordinate sample throughput, resources, and scheduling to meet deliverables.
• Lead laboratory safety, training, and data management initiatives.
