Job description

LiquidPiston is seeking a Handyman / General Laborer to perform maintenance and repairs including carpentry, painting, plumbing, organization, and moving tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance at two locations (Bloomfield, CT, Suffield, CT)
• Repairs: Perform repairs and troubleshooting on machines and equipment
• Installation/Moving: Install and/or move equipment between locations, using a box truck, forklift, and other tools
• Painting: Mostly interior
• Drywall: Repair and maintain drywall
• Carpentry: Measure, cut, fabricate wood and other materials. Construct frameworks, walls, floors, etc.
• Electrical: Perform minor electrical work, install lighting
• Communication: Communicate with supervisor and peers to understand the scope of projects
• Cleaning: Assist with the removal of trash, obsolete equipment, and keep work areas organized and clean
• Other tasks: As assigned

Qualifications:

• Fork truck certified
• DOT approved driver (non-CDL)
• Can read building blueprints
• Familiar with building codes
• Familiar with OSHA requirements

This is a full-time position with regular weekday hours.
