Active Condominium Complex in Northern Jersey is seeking an experienced Handyman with a professional appearance and good communication skills. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use a cell phone are required. The candidate should have familiarity with electrical work, plumbing (including toilet snaking), lock installation, some carpentry, and cleaning skills. Responsibilities include monitoring move-ins and move-outs, greeting vendors, and performing summer tasks such as monitoring pool chemicals, opening/closing the pool, and onsite projects like painting, trimming plants, and cleaning gym equipment. Winter tasks include snow shoveling around sidewalks and entrance doors (plowing handled by landscapers).

The candidate must follow directions from the property manager and cooperate well with the on-site supervisor.

In return, this full-time position offers a salary, a rent-free one-bedroom apartment, and free electricity (excluding cable and cell phone service). A 30-day probation period is required before acceptance into the supervisor role and prior to moving in.

The work week is Monday to Friday, totaling forty hours, with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. The position also requires being on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
