Job summary

Aerotek, located in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Handyman to prepare vacant units for new residents by performing drywall hanging, painting, floor repairs and light electrical work. You will ensure safety and quality, monitor curb appeal, and complete service requests within 24 hours as part of a maintenance team.

Position is permanent with a 1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, onsite at Georgetown Apartments.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Handyman

As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in preparing vacant units for new residents by performing tasks such as drywall hanging, painting, floor repairs, and light electrical work. You will ensure that the property maintains high safety and quality standards, monitor for any safety or curb appeal issues, and complete service requests promptly within 24 hours. Your responsibilities also include closing out work orders in the system, assisting with snow removal and salting during winter months, and participating in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs. You will ensure units are rent-ready and pass final inspection, track and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, and assist with ordering materials as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 1st shift schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at the Georgetown Apartments in Williamsville, NY. You will be part of a team consisting of three maintenance technicians and participate in a week-long on-call rotation. The role offers competitive pay that can increase depending on experience.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
