Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Handyman in Lawrenceville, NJ. The Maintenance Technician will maintain residential homes, facilities, and vehicles, repairing issues, following maintenance plans, and coordinating with local management to hire external contractors.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour. The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Completion of all state and agency required training.
• Ability to work safely with hands and power tools.
• Experience solving problems with multiple priorities.
• Background checks including criminal, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks.
• Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Ensure repairs are made safely and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and structural components including appliances, fans, lights, flooring, carpets, paneling, doors, etc.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work.
• Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary.
• Review contractor estimates to ensure they reflect required repairs and reasonable costs.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
• Employee must cooperate with license and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.

Weare now hiring an experiencedFulltimeHandyman inLawrenceville, NJ. The Maintenance Technician maintains residential homes, facilities, and vehicles. This person is responsible for repairing issues that arise, completing regular maintenance plans, and working with local management to contract external contractors.

Starting pay is $23.00/per hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure repairs are made timely in a way that is safe and in compliance with the local laws and regulations

• Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbingwork
• Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary

• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
