Starting pay is $23.00 per hour and the role involves coordinating with management on external contractors. Responsibilities include scheduling basic maintenance, timely completion of tasks, safe repairs compliant with regulations, and evaluating contractor estimates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Complete state and agency required training per state guidelines.
• Ability to work safely with hands and power tools.
• Experience solving problems across multiple priorities.
• Background checks and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks.
• Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Ensure repairs are safe and compliant with local laws and regulations.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and components.
• Perform painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work.
• Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary.
• Review contractor estimates for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Cooperate with staff during inspections and inquiries.
