Job summary

McGrath RentCorp is seeking an Asset Maintenance & Inventory Technician (Finance) to maintain forklift logs, organize the yard, and perform repairs and upkeep of containers and assets. The role involves light welding, electrical work, and field service visits to customers.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a construction yard, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. The position offers a safety‑driven environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and stay productive.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with container and asset repair experience.
• Basic computer skills for logging and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklift in/out logs and move inventory with forklift.
• Organize yard by product type and size; supervise repair status.
• Clean, paint and perform basic repair/upkeep of containers.
• Perform light welding, electrical work, and general maintenance.
• Load/unload assets with third party vendors and report progress to Ops Coordinator.
• Conduct bi-yearly inventory and ensure inventory levels are adequate.
• Perform basic AC service on office units and field calls as needed.
