Job summary

McGrath Rent Corp in Pasadena, TX, is seeking a General Construction Laborer to join our yard team. You will manage inventory, operate a forklift, and support container repair and maintenance while maintaining safety and accuracy.

This full-time role requires 2–3 years in a construction yard, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You may perform light welding, painting, and on-site field service, reporting to the Ops Coordinator and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a construction yard environment.
• Basic computer experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to repair containers and equipment.
• Ability to work independently with high integrity.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklift in/out logs and inventory reports.
• Organize yard by product type and size.
• Clean, paint, and repair containers in the yard.
• Light welding and basic electrical work.
• Manage inventory readiness for yard operations.
• Provide on-site field service to customers.
• Inspect, repair and maintain inventory; bi-yearly inventory.
• Report progress to Ops Coordinator and management.
