Job summary

Mobile Modular Portable Storage - A Division of McGrath is seeking an Asset Maintenance & Inventory Technician in our Concord, NC area. The role involves yard organization, container upkeep, on-site service, and basic electrical, carpentry and welding tasks to keep inventory ready for customers.

You will manage forklift operations, logs, and reporting, coordinate with Ops, and perform quality checks to ensure assets meet safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a construction yard environment.
• Forklift experience and basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to independently handle field service and inventory tasks.
• Carpentry, electrical aptitude and light welding capabilities.
• Comfort with physical labor and outside work in variable weather.

Responsibilities

• Organize yard with forklift by container size and condition.
• Clean, paint and perform basic upkeep on containers.
• Support on-site field service calls for customers.
• Perform basic AC service for office and combo units.
• Maintain container inventory and quality checks before shipment.
• Manage forklift logs and inventory reports; load/unload assets.
• Coordinate with vendors and report activities to Ops Coordinator.
• Ensure building materials inventory supports container repair.
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in safety programs.
• Bi-yearly inventory duties and other duties as assigned.
