Job summary

Mobile Modular Portable Storage - A Division of McGrath is seeking an Asset Maintenance & Inventory Technician to manage yard inventory, operate a forklift, and maintain logs for containers by type, size, and repair status.

You will inspect, repair, and load assets, perform basic AC service, and assist on/off site field service calls, collaborating with Ops to keep dispatch moving safely. 2–3 years yard experience and forklift use are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a construction yard work environment.
• Basic computer experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing containers, trailers, bins.
• Independent worker with high energy and integrity.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklift in/out logs and move inventory.
• Organize yard by product type and size state of repair.
• Clean, paint, and perform basic repair/upkeep of containers.
• Light welding, electrical work, and tool use for maintenance.
• Prepare and availability of inventory at the yard; report progress.
• Inspect and maintain inventory quantities; perform on/offsite service calls.
• Organize materials and ensure proper stock levels for repairs.
• Quality check assets leaving the yard; load/unload with vendors.
