Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to safely handle material handling equipment.
• Vocational welding and/or machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform lay-out, fabricating and MIG welding under supervision.
• Operate machine shop equipment per standard industry practices.
• Operate electric band saw/shear/punch press to prepare parts.
• Weld parts that are not load bearing as required.
• Read drawings or sketches and work from samples or instructions.
• Prepare metals by cleaning, cutting and prepping for welding.
• Safely operate equipment like saws, torches, presses and brakes.
• Ensure work meets quality control standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and assist with loading/unloading.
