Job summary
DeWys Metal Solutions is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to lead our warehouse and logistics team on-site in Iowa. You will direct daily operations, ensure safe, organized material flow, and maintain accuracy across shipping, receiving, and inventory while partnering with production and other teams.
The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, problem solving, and continuous improvement, with a focus on ERP transactions, documentation, and safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, material handling, or manufacturing operations.
- 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role directing and supporting employees.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience using an ERP system for shipping, receiving, inventory, and material transactions.
- Lean manufacturing, 5S, standard work, or continuous improvement experience preferred.
- Experience with freight, carrier coordination, and shipping documentation is a plus.
- Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the warehouse and logistics team with daily direction and priorities.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure processes and standard work are understood and followed.
- Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counting and ERP transactions.
- Respond to daily material, shipping, receiving, and workflow issues and coordinate across departments.
- Monitor KPIs such as on‑time shipping, shipping accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow, safety, etc.
- Develop and reinforce standard work and 5S discipline.
