Job summary

DeWys Metal Solutions is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to lead the warehouse and logistics team on the floor, ensure materials move safely and accurately, and drive daily execution of established processes. You’ll coach staff, manage priorities, and coordinate across departments to meet production and customer needs.

You will also focus on inventory accuracy, ERP transactions, and continuous improvement of material flow, safety, and productivity in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role directing and supporting employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to warehouse and logistics team and set priorities.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory to support production schedules.
• Ensure processes and standard work are understood and followed.
• Oversee cycle counting and ERP transactions for accuracy.
• Respond to daily material, shipping, receiving, and workflow issues across departments.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time shipping, shipping accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve material flow, safety, and productivity.
• Build and document standard work with 5S and visual management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; enforce safety.
• Collaborate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service to resolve issues.

At DeWys Metal Solutions, we’re looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor who enjoys leading people but also wants to stay close to the work.4

This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of our shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory activities. You’ll lead a team, set daily priorities, reinforce processes and standard work, solve problems, and make sure materials move safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout our operation.

What You'll Do

You’ll provide hands‑on leadership to our warehouse and logistics team while helping create a safe, organized, and reliable operation.

• Lead the team. Provide daily direction, set priorities, coach team members, reinforce expectations, and help employees grow and succeed.
• Keep materials moving. Oversee shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory activities to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Own the daily execution. Make sure established processes and standard work are understood, followed, and consistently executed.
• Drive inventory accuracy. Oversee cycle counting, reinforce accurate ERP transactions, and help investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Solve problems. Respond to daily material, shipping, receiving, and workflow issues and work across departments to keep things moving.
• Use the numbers. Monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time shipping, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, cycle count completion, and dock‑to‑stock time.
• Improve the process. Identify opportunities to improve material flow, efficiency, safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Build standard work. Help document and improve procedures while reinforcing 5S, visual management, and process discipline.
• Put safety first. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and ensure team members follow established safe practices.
• Work across the business. Partner with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and other teams to resolve issues and improve material flow.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, material handling, or manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with responsibility for directing and supporting employees.
• Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using an ERP system for shipping, receiving, inventory, and material transactions.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, standard work, or continuous improvement preferred.
• Experience with freight, carrier coordination, and shipping documentation is a plus.
• Forklift or other material‑handling equipment experience preferred.
