Externships typically last two to eight weeks, with a travel/living expense stipend available to eligible students.

Qualifications

• Externship experience at a veterinary practice or hospital.
• Open to veterinary students at any stage of their curriculum.
• Stipend available to cover travel and living expenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering patient histories and performing physical exams under supervision.
• Assist in creation of treatment plans and diagnostics.
• Support dentistry services and observe/assist or perform surgical procedures.
• Engage in medical management of patients and communicate with the medical team and clients.
