Job summary

Star Valley Veterinary Clinic offers externship experiences at an NVA hospital where veterinary students gain hands-on clinical work and observe daily operations, with supportive mentors and a focus on excellent medicine.

Under supervision, students gather histories, perform exams, develop treatment plans, run diagnostics, provide dentistry services, and assist or perform surgical procedures, while improving communication with the team and clients. Travel stipends are available.

Qualifications

• Must be a veterinary student currently in clinical portion of education.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and perform diagnostics.
• Provide dentistry services and assist or perform surgical procedures.
• Develop medical management plans and monitor patient progress.
• Enhance communication with the medical team and clients.
