City of Sunrise is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform mechanical maintenance on underground water and wastewater collection and distribution systems. The role involves routine repair work, operating maintenance vehicles, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of facilities.

You will work with supervision, exercise initiative, and document field activities while keeping sites clean and compliant with safety standards.

Aufgaben

• Operates various classes of vehicles including large trucks, dump trucks, forklifts, generators, pumps and other equipment as necessary.
• Keeps equipment and vehicles clean and in proper working order and identifies any damage or repair needs.
• Organizes, tracks, and documents work in the field and updates the supervisor on system status.
• Ensures work is clean and work sites are tidy in accordance with supervisor expectations.
• Ensures vehicles and equipment are inspected and in proper working order.
• Performs general preventive maintenance of water, reuse, and wastewater facilities, infrastructure and appurtenance.
• Reads atlases, schematics, maps and assists in the locate and maintenance of pipe and valves, as necessary.
