Job summary

NANO Nuclear Energy, based in Oak Brook, IL, seeks a hands-on Test Engineer to lead planning, execution, and continuous improvement of complex safety-critical test programs. You will design experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware validation.

Ideal candidates have strong QA experience in regulated settings, experience with instrumentation and data acquisition, and a track record as a technical lead on tests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer comfortable with hardware and test setups.
• Experience in highly regulated industries and QA-focused environments.
• Led test programs or projects as investigator or technical lead.
• Ability to design and execute experiments, interpret results, and adapt plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and execute test plans and experimental setups with approvals.
• Collect data and communicate results to support engineering decisions.
• Lead test design reviews and prepare supporting documentation.
• Maintain test equipment, fixtures, and materials, ensuring safety.
• Ensure testing compliance with ELS/EHS and QA standards.
