Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Writer to build and maintain the documentation backbone of our manufacturing and engineering operations as we scale toward mass production. You will work directly with production, engineering, and quality teams to turn in-progress processes into clear, consistent work instructions, test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and engineering release notes.

This is a hands-on, floor-facing role with real time at workstations observing builds and interviewing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience writing technical or process documentation in a manufacturing, hardware, automotive, aerospace, or similarly hands-on production environment.
• Experience working on the production floor observing builds and interviewing technicians.
• Ability to translate hands-on process knowledge into written and visual instructions.
• Strong organizational instincts with focus on structure, version control, and findability.
• Experience building documentation systems with Notion and Linear.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain documentation backbone for manufacturing and engineering operations.
• Turn tribal knowledge and in-progress processes into clear, consistent work instructions, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Work hands-on on the floor at workstations gathering process detail and talking to technicians.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure documentation stays in sync with changes.
