WEX is seeking a Tech Lead to drive architecture and implementation of Benefits technology solutions. You will mentor engineers, shape design decisions, and collaborate with product, architecture, and operations to deliver scalable, secure software.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, balancing modern cloud-native patterns with legacy modernization while guiding teams through Agile practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering with technical leadership.
• Proven experience leading technical design and delivery of complex systems.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET and RESTful APIs.
• Cloud-native development in AWS/Azure; distributed, event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, establishing sound practices.
• Lead architecture, design, planning, and implementation of complex software across distributed systems.
• Translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Guide teams in cloud-native, distributed, event-driven applications.
• Define approaches with stakeholders, manage dependencies, identify risks, drive initiatives.
