Job summary

Simplex is seeking an IT/Automation Engineer in Austin, TX, on-site (M-F 9-5:30). You will work to build and maintain automation in a HR/Recruiting tech environment, primarily focusing on automation and AI coding tools, with 70-80% time on automation and remainder on IT support and security.

You will learn from the existing automation lead, paired work, and progressively own your own automation and security projects, while gaining exposure to SOC and ISO 27001 initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of IT support, systems administration, or related role with a hunger to learn
• Basic knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and privacy regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; work with people across every department

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain business workflow automations using n8n and AI coding tools
• Collaborate with teams to identify processes to automate and implement solutions
• Maintain and improve existing automations including internal reporting digests, client call summarization, partner outreach campaigns, and AI-powered research workflows
• Develop connectors and integrations between internal systems
• Manage and resolve IT support tickets including access issues and hardware/software troubleshooting
• Handle onboarding/offboarding including workstation setup and account provisioning
• Administer the M365 environment including user/groups and security configurations
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure using Cisco Meraki
• Support SOC and ISO 27001 certifications and respond to security questionnaires from clients
