Job summary

Kipp & Zonen, a Veralto company, is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join a collaborative Austin-based team. This role supports precision solar measurement products and offers hands-on ownership from concept and PCB design through bring‑up, validation, NPI, production support and sustainment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, has 5+ years of hardware experience, and can design analog/digital circuits, schematics and PCBs while collaborating with firmware,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with strong applied EE experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on electrical engineering or hardware experience.
  • Experience taking hardware from prototype through validation and into production or field support.
  • Strong fundamentals in PCB design, schematics, analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and hardware/firmware interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve mixed-signal and embedded hardware.
  • Collaborate with firmware to design, validate, and bring up devices and troubleshoot system-level issues.
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle from ideation to sustainment.
  • Partner with production, test, quality, and manufacturing teams to diagnose issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Work hands-on in the lab with instrumentation, calibration methods, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Support products designed for demanding field environments.
