Job summary

Exowatt in Miami, FL is seeking an Optomechanical Integration & Test Engineer to own the full measurement loop for our on-sun solar tracking hardware. You will build indoor benches, a high-flux test facility, and outdoor test stands to prove the energy models with defensible data.

The role combines precision alignment, radiometry, thermal measurement, sensors and DAQ, plus Python automation and AI-driven test campaigns.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bench work in high-flux test facility and outdoor on-sun test stands.
• Experience with precision alignment, radiometry, thermal measurement, sensors and DAQ.
• Ability to build test infrastructure and run campaigns with measurable results.
• Strong collaboration with senior engineers and willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own the measurement infrastructure from test plan to fixture design, instrumentation, commissioning and data with error bars.
• Perform indoor and outdoor testing to validate optical performance and energy delivery.
• Contribute to automation and AI-driven test campaigns using Python.
