Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in software development, computer science, or related field.
• 8–10 years total software development experience with 3–5 years leadership/people management.
• Leading and managing software development teams is required.
• Strong foundation in modern application development practices.
• Experience coaching engineers and supporting growth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills preferred.
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools and ability to learn internal systems.
• Ability to travel to all organization offices and vendor sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, development, maintenance, and health of applications.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Architects to support Agile development.
• Identify opportunities to adopt AI tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Ensure applications meet standards for maintainability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Mentor team members and address skill gaps through coaching and training.
• Address technical risks and remove impediments across the lifecycle.
• Maintain alignment with organizational goals and business context for sound decisions.
