Job summary

EM Search Consulting, LLC. in Chicago seeks an SEO Manager to develop and execute organic growth strategies for a portfolio of clients.

This hands-on role combines strategic thinking with practical implementation across on-page, technical, and content optimization. Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience managing and executing campaigns (essential).
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO, content strategy, and keyword research.
• Demonstrable knowledge of local SEO ranking factors and optimization strategies.
• Experience with SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking, or similar tools.
• Experience using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Ability to translate SEO findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop SEO-driven content strategies for a portfolio of clients.
• Conduct keyword research to drive rankings, traffic, and leads.
• Build content calendars based on objectives and search demand.
• Map keywords and topics to existing and future pages.
• Collaborate with writers to ensure SEO-aligned content.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing content and expand topical authority.
• Perform on-page optimization across client websites.
• Implement schema markup and on-page enhancements where appropriate.
• Monitor and maintain website technical health; work with developers to fix issues.
• Track rankings, traffic, and other key SEO metrics; report findings.
