Job summary

Waterford of Plano is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead on-site upkeep, safety, and functionality for a senior living community. You will oversee routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep while ensuring a welcoming, well-maintained environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in senior living or similar.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and general building maintenance.
• Experience completing apartment turns and move-in preparations.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, flooring, and carpentry.
• Maintain interior and exterior appearance of the community.
• Complete apartment turns, move-in preparations, and refurbishments.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and address concerns promptly.
• Ensure community equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain fire safety systems and records.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Build positive relationships with residents through responsive, customer-focused service.
• Identify and correct potential hazards to promote safety.
