Job summary

3 Lions Logistics, Inc. seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting across multiple entities, focusing on asset-based trucking and freight brokerage divisions.

You will manage billing, AR, collections, AP, reconciliations and month-end close, reporting to leadership and coordinating with external accountants and a fractional CFO. The role is full-time and on-site in Salem, New Hampshire, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, controls, and process improvement in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
• At least five years of progressive accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience.
• Demonstrated experience completing a monthly close and preparing financial statements.
• Strong experience with general-ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, customer billing, accounts receivable and collections.
• Working knowledge of accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, debt schedules and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.
• Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations, supporting schedules and financial analysis.
• Experience with multiple related entities and intercompany transactions.
• Experience in trucking, freight brokerage, transportation, logistics or another transaction-intensive industry is strongly preferred.
• CPA certification is not required.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting for multiple related entities and manage monthly close.
• Handle billing, AR, collections, AP, reconciliations and GL activity.
• Provide weekly AR and collections reporting and monitor aging.
• Maintain intercompany accounting and consolidated schedules.
• Support reporting for leadership, lenders and audits.
• Ensure tax-ready records and assist with year-end filings.
