Job summary

Actalent in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a hands-on Electrical & Mechanical Assembly Technician to support build, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic and electromechanical systems. You will collaborate with engineers and production teams to assemble panels, wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators, and subassemblies for industrial automation.

Responsibilities include wiring, soldering, read blueprints, and functional testing.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and soldering.
• Read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial sensors.
• Experience with prototype builds and development projects.
• IPC soldering certification or similar electronics certification.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex electromechanical and robotic systems from drawings and work instructions.
• Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, connector termination, crimping, and soldering.
• Build and integrate mechanical assemblies including brackets, frames, enclosures, motors, gearboxes, and robotic components.
• Assemble and install wiring harnesses, control panels, sensors, actuators, and other components.
• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of assemblies.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; maintain accurate build records.
