Job summary

AMETEK Process Instruments in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a mechanical assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, modify, wire solder, and adjust instrument subassemblies, sometimes with incomplete documentation, following method sheets and proper material handling to prevent shortages.

You will perform quality inspections as described by the method sheets, pull customer spare parts orders, ensure on-time ship dates, assemble kit assemblies, and handle packaging and shipping of

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to solder and read blueprints.
• Heavy lifting up to 65 pounds; use of hand tools.
• Overtime may be required periodically.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, wire, solder, and/or adjust instrument assemblies and subassemblies.
• Follow method sheets and material handling procedures to prevent part shortages.
• Perform quality inspection as prescribed by method sheets; pull customer spare parts orders and ensure ship dates are met.
• Assemble kit assemblies and handle packaging and shipping of customer orders.
• Occasionally perform other duties as required by business conditions.
