Job summary

JEM Restaurant Group in Charleston, SC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations across the Charleston market. You’ll perform preventive and routine maintenance on restaurant equipment, diagnose electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R issues, and use CMMS to document activities.

This hands-on role requires 1+ year of maintenance experience, the ability to travel between sites, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems.
• HVAC/R and EPA certification strongly preferred.
• Residential painting experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on restaurant equipment and building systems (refrigeration, ice makers, grills, heated holding units, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, and other facility-related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic skills.
• Complete residential painting and other facility projects as needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and repair supplies.
• Travel between restaurant locations throughout the Charleston market.
