Job summary

JKS&K DBA McDonald’s is seeking a motivated maintenance technician to join our restaurant repair team in the Charleston area. You will diagnose and repair heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, read schematics, and perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, the ability to travel within the region, and a positive, proactive mindset. On-the-job training is provided, tools are supplied, and overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of building is desirable.
• The ability to use power tools and other machinery to accomplish grounds renovation and removal is a plus.
• Previous restaurant experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices.
• Climb ladders and work on rooftops in varying weather conditions.
• Lift heavy objects and perform manual labor, wiring, plumbing, and CO2 equipment repair.
• Read schematics and diagnose complex machinery.
• Must be able to travel and maintain a good DMV record.
• Repair of equipment includes fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers, coffee makers, tea makers, microwaves, and ice cream machines.

Searching for a self-motivated, goal-oriented technician aged 25 years or older to work in the restaurant repair and maintenance industry. Our franchise is motivated and growing. We are looking to expand our maintenance team. Candidates should be self-starters with a good attitude and a positive mindset. This is a family-run business with people of like minds and good work ethic, who desire to expand the business and culture.

Qualifications:

• Experience with maintenance of building desirable.
• The ability to use power tools and other machinery to accomplish grounds renovation and removal is a plus. Previous restaurant experience is desired.

Job tasks will include but are not limited to:

• You will need the ability to diagnose and repair the following: heating, air conditions, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices.
• You should be able to climb ladders and work on rooftops and in varying weather conditions.
• Lifting heavy objects, bending, squatting, navigating into tight spaces, manual labor, technical tasks, wiring, plumbing sink, and toilet repair, CO2 equipment repair, and installation.
• Technicians must be able to read schematics and diagnose complex machinery.
• Must be able to travel and maintain a good DMV record.
• Repair of equipment includes fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers, coffee makers, tea makers, microwaves, heated landing zones, heating cabinets, drink machines, and ice cream machines.

• On-the-job training will be provided, transportation will be provided to the proper candidate who can manage the schedule and work.
• Tools will be provided by the company.
• The cell phone will be paid for by the company to insure proper communication.
• Overtime will be available, and some weeks will be required.
• Travel will include the greater Charleston area, Beaufort, and possibly northern Georgia.
