Job summary

Wendy's Delight Restaurant Group in the Virginia Beach market is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and facilities operations for our restaurant locations. The role emphasizes field work, problem solving, and close partnership with Operations to keep restaurants safe and running smoothly.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in facilities or maintenance, deep knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration, and proven ability to manage work orders and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or technical experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Virginia Beach area.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance for restaurants within the Virginia Beach market.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Provide hands-on diagnostics and support for HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and basic electrical/plumbing systems.
• Determine when repairs should be completed internally versus through approved vendors.
• Manage and track work orders using Corrigo (or similar system).
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.
• Partner with General Managers and Area Leaders to support restaurant performance.
• Assist with minor remodels, reimages, and equipment replacements as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses within budget.
