Job summary

The Luck Stone Summer Internship is a 9-week program for college students focused on quarry operations. Interns gain hands‑on experience in blasting, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, plant operations, quality control, and sales and dispatch — building core competencies in equipment operation, maintenance, safety, and planning.

Internship will start on June 1, 2027 and go through the first week of August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks and projects with a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Participate in hands‑on training and practice in pit and plant activities
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair
• Follow quality control procedures and participate in lab testing as required
• Assist with sales and dispatch activities, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Attend daily safety briefings and actively participate in hazard identification and reporting
• Actively seek out feedback and coaching from supervisors and team members
• Complete end‑of‑summer presentation summarizing experiences and learning outcomes.
