Job summary

Intralox in New Orleans, LA is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to drive continuous quality improvement within our ThermoDrive Belt Assembly facility in Harahan, LA. You will support plant operations, address defects, and lead root-cause investigations to prevent recurrence.

The ideal candidate has a manufacturing background and 2+ years of quality or process engineering experience, with proficiency in PFMEA, SPC, and data analysis to deliver measurable quality gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Plastic, Industrial Technology or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years as Quality or Process Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Hands-on process improvement on the factory floor
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and SPC concepts
• Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis tools

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on quality support for plant operations by addressing daily production and customer quality issues
• Develop and maintain quality tools and systems (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) for fabrication performance
• Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and drive corrective actions
• Analyze quality metrics and implement data-driven improvements
• Champion quality projects aligned to critical success factors
• Create and maintain scalable quality documentation and workflows
• Stay current with best practices and assist in internal adoption
• Support new product introductions and readiness activities
