Job summary

Qualitrol in Fairport, NY is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to lead quality and production improvements for instrumentation assembly. You will plan equipment layouts, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in lean manufacturing, strong data analysis via Minitab/JMP, and experience with ISO 9001 quality systems. Proficiency in LabVIEW/SolidWorks and DMAIC methods is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering degree in a related field.
7+ years in a lean manufacturing environment with strong problem solving.
Experience with DMAIC, Six Sigma and SPC methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and quality tools.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee quality and production improvements on tooling and equipment.
Lead Kaizen and Ralliant Business System activities to reduce waste and improve flow.
Develop new methods, tooling, test systems, and machine designs to cut cycle time.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA/5 Why/8D) and drive CAPA actions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams on shop floor and in engineering.
