Focus Property Management is seeking a Property & Grounds Assistant to join our Fitchburg, WI team. This role is hands-on, outdoors, and focused on keeping properties clean, safe, and welcoming for residents while building practical maintenance skills.

You’ll work independently in all weather, paint and repair small issues, manage time effectively, and foster positive relationships with residents. The position offers room to grow with the company and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable with hands-on outdoor work and basic maintenance tasks.
• Reliable, gritty, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Own the cleanliness, safety, and overall feel of assigned properties—inside and out.
• Perform weekly walk-throughs and identify issues early.
• Paint, repair, clean, and tackle small maintenance tasks.
• Work in all weather to improve properties.
• Build friendly relationships with residents and respond to concerns.
• Use time management software to manage tasks and connect with residents.
• Spot areas for improvement and take initiative to make properties shine.
• Think quickly to solve problems and implement lasting solutions.
• Notice small details that affect how the property feels.
