Job summary

Magna in Liberty, Missouri, is seeking a Production Team Leader to direct daily manufacturing operations, train operators, support quality initiatives, and help meet production goals safely and efficiently.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills, with opportunities for continuous improvement projects and cross-functional collaboration across the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Train and support operators on machine operation, quality inspections, and standardized work procedures.
• Assist with daily production activities to help maintain safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support for machine or tooling concerns.
• Monitor product quality and report non-conforming parts to leadership and quality teams.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, concerns, and production updates.
• Respond to Andon calls and coordinate the appropriate support groups.
• Fill in for operators when needed and support production flow throughout the shift.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve processes, products, and workplace efficiency.
