Job summary

Magna International is seeking a Production Team Leader for C Shift in Liberty, Missouri. The role directs workflow in a production area, trains operators, supports quality initiatives, and ensures safety and efficiency in meeting production goals.

Responsibilities include coaching operators, troubleshooting, maintaining quality, and leading shift communications. A hands-on leader, you’ll drive 5S, safety audits, and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, team lead or leadership roles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make decisions, set direction, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support team members.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to collect information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Train and support operators on machine operation, quality inspections, and standardized work procedures.
• Assist with daily production activities to support safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support for machine or tooling concerns.
• Monitor product quality and report non-conforming parts to leadership and quality teams.
• Update communication boards and escalate operational issues as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders and support equipment uptime efforts.
• Conduct daily 5S, safety, and workstation audits.
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals and production updates.
• Respond to Andon calls and coordinate the appropriate support groups.
• Fill in for operators when needed and support production flow during shift.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance processes, products, and workplace efficiency.
