Job summary

Vandor Funeral Products is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Hardwoods team. You will lead day-to-day operations on the production floor, develop Team Leaders, and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement across shifts.

The role focuses on building a strong team, coordinating staffing, and mentoring staff to improve performance while ensuring adherence to production standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing management experience.
• High school diploma or GED with additional relevant education or experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and directly supervise Team Leaders while supporting the development and performance of production Team Members.
• Organize staffing and allocate Team Members based on changing production demands.
• Coordinate daily production priorities, schedules, job start-ups, and workflow.
• Coach, train, and develop Team Leaders and Team Members, including cross-training across production areas.
• Monitor daily production, quality, safety, and operational performance and take action when improvements are needed.
• Partner with Production Planning to align priorities with customer needs.
• Work with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and minimize delays.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and production performance.
• Monitor equipment utilization and support preventative maintenance efforts.
• Build a positive, accountable team culture with collaboration.
• Ensure procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and standards are followed.
