Job summary

American Trim seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations on the plant floor, aligning priorities with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and Shipping/Receiving.

This role requires hands-on leadership, developing supervisors and employees, solving problems, and balancing daily production with long-term goals. You will ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met and will work closely with other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or 2–5 years related experience.
• Proven ability to lead manufacturing teams and develop supervisors.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to balance safety, quality, delivery, and production priorities.
• Excellent communication with employees, leadership, and customers.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage Production Department to attain objectives.
• Develops production plan and directs activities to ensure smooth flow and on-time shipment.
• Forecast production needs and plan for future periods.
• Schedule raw materials deliveries and maintain inventory levels.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Maintain communication to prevent downtime and delays.
• Consult with engineering to improve machinery and product quality.
• Ensure customer service satisfaction by communicating changes.
• Direct Shipping/Receiving to maintain inventory and staging.
• Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
• Promote safe and healthy working conditions.
• Maintain labor/management relations in a union-free environment.
